Mother Jackson of Lakeland transitioned Friday, April 19, 2024. A visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 - 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow the Celebration of Life at Oak Hill Burial Park - 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida 33810. All services will be held at Pilgrim Rest Free Will Baptist Church - 1047 N. Ohio Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33805.

Mother Carolyn Williams Jackson was born June 30, 1939 in Lakeland, Florida to the late Sam & Lillie Mae Williams.

She was educated in the Polk County School System and graduated from Rochelle High School of Lakeland, Florida.

She carried dual membership with Upper Room Church of God (Lakeland, Florida) and New Destiny Community Church (Deland, Florida). She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant

“Mother” as she was affectionately called by many, was loving, kind, generous, gentle, and family oriented. She helped anyone and everyone in need and was the kind of person who gave her last to help better someone else’s life.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Lillie Mae Williams; former husbands: Urese and Johnnie Jackson; Siblings: Edward Williams, Eugene Williams, Jessie Williams, Alfonso Williams, Marion Williams and Rev. Joe Williams, Viola Williams, Essie Mae Williams Fish, Thelma Williams Johnson and Rebecca Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memory: children: Curtis Jackson, Roger Jackson (Angie), Bishop Dr. T.L. Jackson (Dephrin), Johnnie Jackson; siblings: Marjorie Williams Davis, Audrey Williams Davis; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and devoted friends.
