Betty was born to Chancey and Daisy Graham in Ocala, Florida. She lived and received her education from Sumter School District. She moved to Bartow in 1963. She worked at Polk General Hospital for 11 years before the Hospital closed. Afterward, she moved to Polk County School Board and worked for 9 years before retiring.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Chancey and Daisy Graham; son: Cornelius Gaffney; siblings: Johnell Graham, James Graham and Mary Wilson; granddaughter: Milaya Cooper and great grandchildren: Mercedes and Yvette Graham.

Betty leaves to cherish her precious memories: four children: Alfred Graham of Bartow, Florida, Dexter Graham of Lakeland, Florida, Yvette Joiner and Jacquelyn Graham-Gilliam both of Bartow, Florida; siblings: Chancey Graham (Yvonne) of Lakeland, Florida, Reverend Clevester Oliver (Jernetha) and James Carmichel (Wyla) both of Bartow, Florida, Frances Graham of Wildwood, Florida, Diane Davis of Bartow, Florida, Viola Brown (Howard) or Pelham, Alabama, Lillieann Mazion (Edward) of Titusville, Florida; uncle: Preston Hopkins, Sr. (Katrina) of Cocoa, Florida; daughter-in-law: Ann Gaffney of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren: Ashley Barnes (Chris) of Dallas, Texas, Tanisha Price (Keith) of Mulberry, Florida, Mickal Graham of Bartow, Florida, Santana Harvey (Walter) of Winter Haven, Florida, De’Ashley Graham, Kiara Joiner and Sontee Gilliam all of Bartow, Florida, Dexter Graham, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida, De’Vonte Simmons of Dallas, Texas, Jona’cee Penick of Brandon, Florida, Aaron Gaffney of Atlanta, Georgia, DeShawn Graham of Mulberry, Florida, Daizjonay Graham of Tennessee and Briazjonay Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina; great grandchildren: Ashari, Laci, Corde, Maleah, Malaysia, Rylee, Kristen, Aiden, Javontay, Keith, Jr. De’leah, Amorah and Love and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
