The Legacy of Barbara Ann Wilson
November 22, 1946 - March 25, 2024

Barbara Ann Wilson was born on November 22, 1946 in Stokes, North Carolina to the late Leroy Perkins and Ernestine Frank.

Barbara was raised by her paternal grandparents Jim and Ethel Perkins. Some of Barbara’s fondest memories in her youth was playing outdoors, cooking with her grandmother and working with her grandfather. As a young adult, Barbara moved to New Jersey where she worked several different jobs. She’s known for her spunky personality and the ability to make people laugh.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing cards but, her favorite pastime was playing bingo. Barbara was the mother of Mount Calvary Missionary Church in New Brunswick, New Jersey, before relocating to Lakeland, Florida. She is preceded in death by her son Allen (Boo) McArthur.

She is survived by her children Al-Malik McArthur, Tamara Wilson, Sharonda Wilson and Shanice Wilson. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 1 sister Corinthian Perkins.
