Ms. Shirley Annette Henley was known as a "Good Mother" to many. She was born July 2, 1957 in Panama city, Florida to Sarah Tarver. She transitioned from her earthly home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at home with her daughters and family in private and peacefully.

She lived all her life between Medulla, Tampa, and Lakeland, Florida. Shirley was loved by all her siblings, children and family members including her 30+ foster children he kept and raised. She was firm and straight forward, because of that she kept her children and community on the right track at all times. She was a wonderful foster parent and she adopted the last one in the system before getting out of the program.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Sarah Tarver-Morgan and Lewis Morgan; aunt: Essie Walker and two children: Schera and Jerry Henley.

She leaves to cherish her memory: children: Sarah Turner (Ronnell), Gwendolyn Robinson (Devasia), Ulissa Ponder, Desiree Ryan, Shanell and Veronica, Nakia Knighton (Cherice), Rondy Clemons (Rhonda), Williams Clemons (Latoya), Lorenzo Clemons (Carolyn), Shawn Footman, Johnny Ryan, siblings: Gwendolyn Greer (Aaron), Chiquita Freeman (Ricky), Brenda Tarver, Kenneth Tarver (Carolyn), Joyce Tarver-Moore (Donnie), Lisa Border (Chip), Jeanne Copeland (Raymond), Corey Morgan (Marissa), Lewis Morgan; grandchildren: Sacara, Leeman (Arlia), Ni'Dericka, Razayah, Sherikah, Nakivia (Mykari) and De'Miyah Prince, C'Mariyah, Aldreco (Dontaisha), Lavar, LaVario, La'Varis, Landyn, Nakia, Jr., Nakia, Na'Zahria, Kanoija, Alvaija, Shamony, Jaquan, D'Antre, De'Vonte, Jasmine, Zsaln, Taquinte, Aaron, Genell and Lonnie Clemons, Rodnesha, Izheydra, Jimmie, Varuis, Variah; great grandchildren: Kali, Ka'lris, Chloe, Kemoni, Taylor, Dekari, Kacen, Kohl, Kaydian, Imani, Olina, Dommanck, Logan, Razuri, Camden, Kalise, Aaliyah, Avyonne, Journie, Jakayden and Zariya along with a host of cousin, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ms. Henley of Winter Haven, Florida transitioned November 30, 2023. A visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815
