Shaikil Hurst was born to Jeffery Ghent and Montray Hurst on March 1, 1979.

"Weda", as she was affectionately known, was very strong and full of life. Even through life sometime got the best of her, "Weda" enjoyed being around her family and friends and always had a smile regardless of her situation.

"Weda" was the epitome of class, beauty and grace and through her kind sincere heart and undeniable energy, she touched the lives of all those who crossed her path. Her warm hugs and bright smile will be cherished in the hearts and memories of her family, friends, and others who knew her.

On Good Friday, March 29, 2024, God decided that it was her time to gain her wings. She was preceded in death by her mother: Montray Hurst; step-father: Willie Earl Patterson; aunt: Michele Wright and grandmother: Magnolia Harrell.

She leaves to cherish her memories her father: Jeffery Ghent; siblings: Damien and Candice Peterson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family

Ms. Hurst of Lakeland, Florida transitioned Friday, March 29, 2024. A Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow. All services will be held at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815.
