Jessie was born April 16, 1935 in Richmond, Virginia. After graduating from Maggie Walker High School in Virginia, Jessie moved to New York City and stayed in Harlem with her aunt, Florence White to attend Finance School.

Afterwards, she worked for Carver Federal Bank and on to Dale Funding, now known as Dale Mortgage Banking in Brooklyn. Within her career, she raised a family with her loving husband, Pelham Percival.
After the passing of her husband, Pelham Percival, she relocated to Lakeland. She loved her entire family and wasn't afraid to show it.

On May 24, 2024, Jessie entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Mary Jones; loving a devoted husband: Pelham Percival; siblings: Raymond Jones, Jr., Marion Gordon; aunt: Florence White; great aunt: Mary Johnson; brother-in-law: Donald Smith and nephews: Carl and Donald Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Robin Weston (David), Pelham Percival, Jr., Donna Percival (Phil); siblings: Richard Jones, Odessa Smith, Ricky Jones (Pamela); grandchildren: Jason Weston (Shenita), Steven Weston (Milena), Jessica Jones, Pelham Percival (Vanessa), Derek Percival, Jaheim Percival, "Budha", Philip Mitchell (Krystina), Gene Mitchell; niece: Janice Richardson; godson: Dorian Richardson and a host of great grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Ms. Percival of Lakeland transitioned Friday, May 24, 2024. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815.
