Hubert Edward McCaster was born November 17, 1940.

"Edward", as he was affectionately known, was loved by all of his family and close friends. No matter the situation, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He enjoyed working on his home projects and writing.

On July 15, 2024, he entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Naomi McCaster; children: Darlene McCaster, Lisa McCaster, Valencia Bates; siblings: James McCaster, Alton McCaster, Edward McCaster, Calvin McCaster, Brenda Gay McCaster, Delores McCaster and Marie Cullars.

He leaves to cherish his memories his life long partner of 34 years, Gwendolyn Davis; children: Hubert Lester (Kathy), Carolyn Williams (Corey), Clifford Dunn, Greg McCaster (Elaine), Jayson McCaster (Kendra), Stephanie Wallace (Jerald), Carl Rainey (Kenya), Curtis Rainey (Denise); bonus children: Jackie Robinson, Veronica (Terry), Tanya (Tim), Cassandra (Will), Larry (Sandra), Rigney McCaster, Ona Allen (Ernest), "like a brother" Ernest "Bones" Martinez, aunt: Lois Pugh, 48 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. McCaster of Lackawanna, New York transitioned Monday, July 15, 2024. A visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. All services will be held at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815.
