Obituary

Evangelist Reginald LeMoore Jordan, affectionately known as "Candy Man" to his friends and "Uncle Candy" to his nieces and nephews, was born June 23, 1954, to Ivan and Maybelle Strong Jordan. He was the youngest of 5 children. He departed from his earthly life on January 18, 2024.

As a youth he loved going to church with his mother and at early age he was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. Minister Jordan had a passion for cooking and his family and friends were always waiting for the "Master Chef" to whip up a delicious, delectable meal!

In 1983 he met and married the love of his life, Sheryl McArthur. To this union one son, Dr. Shane Darcell Jordan was born, and he gained an additional son, Shawn Gaskin and a daughter, Shana Gaskin. Just as God sent Paul and the other disciples too evangelize every nook and cranny. Min. Jordan was sent to do the same under the leadership of Apostle Henry Ross, Sr. It was nothing for Minister Jordan to call people out of their homes during a street meeting, and they would actually come out! He could be found running Old Fashioned tent meeting with his close friends. (Bishop Johnny Davis and Bishop Henry Ross, Jr). Minister Jordan was an Evangelist to his heart. He was so blessed to have 3 men of God he prayed with and constantly had conversations of God's mighty power through the Holy Ghost! (Bishop Davis, Bishop Ross, and Min. Benson).

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Ivan and Maybelle Strong Jordan; Siblings, Willie, Raymond, and Johnny Farrior; Sister-in-law, Sylvia Hope McArthur Williams; Father-in-law, Coach Sylvester McArthur.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted Wife of 40 years, Sheryl McArthur Jordan; Children: Dr. Shane Jordan, Shana Gaskin and Shawn Gaskin; Granddaughter, SaMya Paige Lawrence; Sister: Betty J. Wilson; Mother-in-law, Mercedia McArthur; Sister- in- laws, Wanda McArthur Brokenburr, Gail McArthur Wallace (Corneilus), Melanye Smith, Valeria Chase; Brother-in-law, Shelton McArthur. God Son, Malakesh LeMoore Hicks; A Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church family and neighbors; Special brothers in Christ: Bishop Johnny Davis, Bishop Henry Ross, Jr., and Minister Benson Matthews.
