The Legacy

Elaine Patty Dwight was born on March 24, 1954 to Jessie, Sr. & Evelyn Green in Lakeland, Florida. She was affectionately known to her loved ones as "Laine".

She was retired from the Department of Children and Families. She enjoyed taking care of her family, shopping and singing in the choir.

She reverenced the Lord at an early age. Elaine was the epitome of class, beauty and grace and through her kind sincere heart and undeniable energy, she touched the lives of all those who crossed her path. Her warm hugs and bright smile will be cherished in the hearts and memories of her family, friends, and others who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parent: Jessie, Sr. & Evelyn Green; siblings: Jessie, Jr., David, Jessie Mae Green and daughter: Shayla Dwight.

She leaves to cherish her memories husband: Marion Dwight, Sr.; children: Marion Dwight, Jr., Dervin Green, Kenya Green; grandson: Christopher Lee Simmons, Jr.; siblings: Samuel Robinson, Eloyce Green, Darlene Joe, Solomon "Timmy" Green; best friends: Carolyn Williams, Patricia Williams, Dianne Hardy and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and adoring friends.

Mrs. Dwight of Lakeland transition on Sunday, September 24, 2023. A visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 - 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow. All services will be held at
St. Luke's Ministries - 910 Quincy Street, Lakeland, Florida 33805.
