Mr. Calvin Seay, affectionately known to many as "Billy", was born May 9, 1937 in Doerun, Georgia to Ike and Minnie Bell Harper Seay. Calvin transitioned from his earthly home on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland, Florida.

He lived most of his life in Lakeland, Florida. "Buddy" was loved by all of his family and close friends. No matter the situation, there was never a dull moment when he was around. "Buddy" had a smile that would lighten up any room he walked into.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ike and Minnie Bell Harper Seay; son: Melvin Carruthers Seay and siblings: Margaret "Honey Girl" Baine Seay, Izola Seay Isbell, Louise Brown Mathis, Geneva Copeland, Robert Seay and Willie Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Companion: Jane Rodgers; children: Lasonia Seay (Keith) of Lakeland, Florida, Tony R. Seay (Tamiko) of Riverview, Florida; uncle: Charzell Harper (Carrie) of Moultrie, Georgia, like-a-daughter: Sonji Coney-Williams (Andrew), 10 grandchildren, 9, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Seay of Lakeland transitioned on Monday, October 30, 2023. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815 at 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow. Interment will follow the Celebration of Life at Oak Hill Burial Park - 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida 33812.
