Amelia Houston was born July 22, 1966 to Henry and Louise Scott Houston.

Amelia was the epitome of class, beauty and grace and through her kind sincere heart and undeniable energy, she touched the lives of all those who crossed her path. Her warm hugs and bright smile will be cherished in the hearts and memories of her family, friends, and others who knew her.

On Sunday, November 12, 2023, she entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by parents: Henry and Louise Scott Houston; grandparents: Ernest and Mattie Lue Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memory loving children: John Miquel Houston, Antwan Houston; siblings: James Scott, Phyllis Scott, Roberta Houston, Cynthia Hammond, Bruce Scott, Travis, companion: Billy Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates and friends.

Ms. Houston of Lakeland transitioned Sunday, November 12, 2023. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life to follow.
