A Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 - 11:00 a.m. at St. James Primitive Baptist Church - 4th Street S.E., Mulberry, Florida 33860. The interment will follow the Celebration of Life at Wildwood Cemetery - 800 S. Woodlawn Avenue, Bartow, Florida 33830
Wayne Clark Bender was born February 9, 1965 to parents, Walter Bender and Annie Bell Collier in Mulberry, Florida.
Wayne attended school in Polk County and graduated from Mulberry High School, Class of 1983. After graduating from High School, he attended Knoxville College.
Wayne was an extremely amazingly awesome father, grandfather, brother, uncle and husband. He cherished and loved his family.
He loved traveling, playing golf and hanging out “under the tree.”
Wayne entered enteral peace on July 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father: Walter Bender and brother, Walter Bender, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife of 27 years: Shondro Polite Bender; children: Cynthia Bender, Jaylin Bender, McKenzie Polite, Colbie Polite; mother, Annie Bell Collier; siblings: Johnny Lee Bender, Michael A. Bender, Robert J. Bender, Neil W. Bender, Darlene Bender; grandchildren, Xavier Baker, Tyrone Baker, Jr., Tyson Baker and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
