Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Maurice Knight was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida and was a graduate of Kathleen High School. Maurice grew up in the Pentecostal Church of God in Lakeland. Maurice loved football, bowling, fishing, traveling, talking noise and what his sister called his “happy juice” in that order. Maurice played flag football as an adult then, went on to coach several little league and flag football teams to include the Patriots and Titans. Maurice started his dream job approximately 3 years ago. Maurice was a truck driver for Covenant Transport/Land Air. Anyone that knew Maurice was an avid bowler and always made time to take family, friends, and strangers alike to the bowling alley for a lesson.

Maurice Knight was born June 9, 1974 to Emma Ree Knight and Isaiah Murray. Maurice’s journey ended on September 21, 2024. Maurice was preceded in death by his grandparents: N.J. and Nell Knight; son, Maurice Knight, Jr.; uncles: Raymond Knight, Marshall Knight; cousins: Markie and Louis Knight.
