It is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the Heaven,” and as such, the grand architect of the universe, the immaculate author and finisher of our soul’s destiny, summoned the mortal presence of dearly beloved, Ms. Karen Jarrett to eternal rest, as she has made life’s final transition from earthly travailing to heavenly reward on Thursday, May 9, 2024, rendering great sorrow and loss to her family and friends.

Ms. Karen was born February 11, 1954 to the late William and Eleanor Jarrett. She was loving, kind, generous, gentle, and family oriented. She helped anyone and everyone in need and was the kind of person who gave her last to help better someone else’s life.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Eleanor Jarrett and sister: Brenda Jarrett.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted children: Dana Denise Teems, Deon Laray Black (Jimmy); John Bernard Jarrett Brodus; siblings: Ronald Jarrett (Lois), William Jarrett, Gary Jarrett, Danny Jarrett (Audrey) and Alicia Jarrett Edmond; grandchildren: Jasmine and Raven Stephens, Jimmy Black, Jr., Shondale Black, Alea Black, J’Keja Jarrett; great grandchildren: Layla Black, Egypt Black, Jayla Street, Serenity Black and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and devoted friends.
