Deacon Marvin Shular
"Marvelous Marvin"
1966 - 2024

Deacon Marvin Eugene Shular took eternal rest, as he has made life’s final transition from earthly travailing to heavenly reward on Sunday, April 16, 2024.

Deacon Shular blessed the world with his presence on May 2, 1966. Marvin’s graciousness, compassion and extensive intellect charmed not only many people, but the heart and soul of a woman named Leah. The two lovebirds exchanged the vows of holy matrimony with the words, “I do” uniting them as one in 2014.

Marvin was the epitome of a true family man and provider. He was a man of grace and through his kind sincere heart, undeniable energy and support, he touched the lives of all those who crossed his path. On June 27, 2021, he was ordained to the Office of Deacon at St. James Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rosetta Macon Bryant; grandmother: Rebecca Macon Simmons; siblings: Jessica Shular, Everett Monts; aunt: Rebecca Donovan and cousin: Delawrence Newberry.
